Happy Friday, everyone! This week’s post is a reminder about next Friday, March 18’s Second Annual Appling Variety Show, showcasing various talents from around the community.
The show will be emceed by Baxley-Appling County Chamber of Commerce Director, Keri Crosby. Local pastor, Steve Meguiar, will keep the audience on its toes with comedy throughout the evening. The performance line-up is currently set to include Boots N Diamonds, Boy Scout Troop 472, Noah Gardner, Station No. 7, Kenny Lewis, Diane Yawn, Tripp Hardee, Gene’s Karate School, Emma Westberry, Laurie Jo Upchurch, Carrie and Caroline Morris, and Katie and Kyle Campbell!
Popcorn and beverages will be sold. Nothing pairs better with a variety show than freshly popped corn and an ice cold Coca-Cola…. except, maybe, a slice of a home baked cake afterward… A silent cake auction will be held throughout the evening – come ready to bid! All proceeds will go toward events presented by the Arts Council of Appling County.
We will also be selling tickets for a 50/50 drawing that will be held at the end of the show. $1 per ticket or $15 for 10! 50% for the winner and 50% for the Arts Council, which means everyone’s a winner!
The Arts Council of Appling County is a 501c3 non-profit organization that exists to encourage and stimulate the practice and appreciation of all of the arts by supporting the equality of all individuals to share in creative expression. ACAC presents various cultural performances and experiences that enhance the artistic personality of our community in a way that celebrates uniqueness, diversity and unity. ACAC depends on membership and sponsorship to fulfill its mission.
